ZERO INJECTION PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

We install photovoltaic self-consumption facilities of zero injection, those interconnected to the electricity grid but with no discharge into the distribution grid, with no limit of power, thanks to a non-injection system (lock) that prevents the energy generated by solar panels to go to the grid. Thus, all the energy generated is self-consumed and if there is some over production a modulation system of inverters is used to ensure no grid injection.

PHOTOVOLTAIC NET BILLING

In Sofos Jamaica we specialize in photovoltaic solar energy for self-consumption connected to the grid in the form of Net Billing, selling surpluses to the distribution grid which is allowed up to 100 kW. We have extensive experience in the design and construction of such facilities for the commercial and industrial sector.

Thanks to the Net Billing the excess power generated is sold to the electricity distribution grid. The difference with zero injection facilities is that it does not need a no injection system and instead a bidirectional meter approved by the electricity distributor is installed.

OFF GRID PHOTOVOLTAIC

In Sofos energy we install isolated photovoltaic facilities supported by the hybridization of batteries and diesel. We have extensive experience in the design and construction of such facilities in the sectors of agriculture and catering, among others.

The isolated photovoltaic is especially suitable for companies that do not have access to the electricity network and want to improve competitiveness by saving on energy costs, such as diesel.

The isolated photovoltaic facilities consist of solar panels that generate DC electricity from the sun irradiation, inverters that convert the DC power into AC for later consumption and batteries for storing excess production. With these systems, a high energy demand is covered supported by the installation of a generator, which can cover the demand for several days in case of a lack of energy production.

Preventive Maintenance

Sofos inspects and verifies the panels, wiring, inverters, trackers and protections for possible anomalies of the equipment and checks the correct status of the plant.

In addition, the preventive maintenance service also includes service for the weekends and holidays, reports and periodic maintenance visits and mechanical revisions of the trackers.

Monitiring

Through our own system of monitiring Sofos can detect instantly and automatically any matter relating to the production of the plant, additionally we can provide the client with the graphical production in real time, the graphical summary of daily production, monthly and yearly as well as the possibility to consult the production record.

Corrective maintenance

When detected an incident in the installation, Sofos activates a protocol to amend, in the shortest time possible, the failure and avoid significant production loss.

Management of regulations and billing
